Calling all Wes Anderson fans and sneakerheads!

Adidas just released very limited quantities of replica Roms, made famous by by Bill Murray in Anderson’s 2004 cult classic, “The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou”.

One hundred pairs of the coveted shoes were secretly made available online during the We Love Green Music Festival in Paris, to coincide with a performance by Seu Jorge – a Brazilian musician who not only contributed to the movie’s soundtrack, but appeared alongside Murray, Cate Blanchett and Owen Wilson on screen.

Fans of the film will note that the sneakers are almost identical to the original pair – complete with a white leather upper, shaded blue stripes and yellow submarine laces.

Hopefully the iconic shoe brand has plans to release more of the Rom Zissou – although the company played down the possibility back in 2005, clearly anything can happen.
