Emilia Clarke drops some major spoilers and some real talk in her cover story with Rolling Stone.
The “Game of Thrones” actress dishes on everything from her role in the upcoming “Han Solo” Star Wars movie to what to expect this season on “Game of Thrones”. She also discusses sexism in Hollywood and how she realized it was everywhere.
“I feel so naive for saying it, but it’s like dealing with racism. You’re aware of it, and you’re aware of it, but one day, you go, ‘Oh, my God, it’s everywhere!'” she admitted.
“Like you suddenly wake up to it and you go, ‘Wait a f**king second, are you… are you treating me different because I’ve got a pair of t*ts? Is that actually happening?’ It took me a really long time to see that I do get treated differently. But I look around, and that’s my daily life,” she continued.
Looking forward, Clarke has some things she’d like do and that includes creating her own projects for women. “I would love to start a production company that was just full of nice, funny women,” the actress revealed.
As she’s looking ahead, Clarke has a role in the upcoming “Han Solo” Star Wars movie. Unfortunately, she really can’t reveal much about her role. “All I can say is that she’s awesome. Like, legit, that’s all I can actually get away with saying. There’s a storm trooper with a gun, and he’s going to come walking in any second,” she joked.
(Warning! Spoilers ahead)
Clarke did manage to sneak in some information about the upcoming season of “Game of Thrones”. Being careful to not reveal too much, Clarke did drop one major hint about Daenerys’ whereabouts.
“Spoiler alert, I normally don’t spend very much time in Belfast, but this last season I spent a little more time there,” she said.
