DJ Khaled’s ‘Grateful’ Slides Past Imagine Dragon’s ‘Evolve’ To Clench Billboard’s Number One

“Grateful” becomes DJ Khaled’s second number one album on the Billboard 200 chart.

The new album from Khaled was released on June 23 and flew to number one, selling 149,000 units, sliding past Imagine Dragon’s “Evolve” (147,000 units) which sits at number two. The new album knocked out Lorde’s “Melodrama” which previously held on to number one.

“Grateful” marks Khaled’s seventh top 10 piece, dating back to 2007 with “We The Best” which debuted at number 8.

Imagine Dragon’s third album, “Evolve” becomes their third top 10 album on the charts. It follows 2015’s “Smoke + Mirrors” and 2012’s “Night Visions”.

At number three, Kendrick Lamar’s, “DAMN.” drops two spots.

And finally,  at number four, Prince’s remastered “Purple Rain” debuted in fourth place (52,000 units sold), it was first released in 1984.
