Congratulations are in order for Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney.
The couple got engaged on Saturday and the special occasion was marked by another important life event: Branch’s birthday. Carney purposed to the singer on her 34th birthday and made it extra special for her.

Branch shared a picture of the ring on Instagram and captioned the photo with a sweet note for her fiancée.
“Thank you for all the birthday love and wishes. Last night, right before I blew out my candles, @officerpatrickcarney asked me to marry him and then I had nothing left to wish for 34 might be the best year yet,” Branch wrote.

Branch and The Black Keys singer met in February 2015. The couple first met at a Grammys party and became music partners, too. Carney helped write Branch’s latest album, “Hopeless Romantic”.
“There’s songs on the record from the moment I realized I was gonna get divorced to the moment I fell in love with Patrick,” Branch revealed to People in April. She also spilled that she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to be with Carney and that he will be touring with her this summer.
