Kristian Nairn Brings Us Back To Hodor’s Death In KFC ‘Game Of Thrones’ Parody

KFC UK’s new campaign has us reliving the demise of a beloved “Game of Thrones” character all over again.

Kristian Nairn, who played “Hodor” on the show, stars in the ad as a KFC employee overwhelmed by white walkers customers impatiently ordering a lunchtime staple “chicken with fries.”

Sputtering the orders over and over again, the scene brings us straight back to the last time we saw his character on the show, when fans got to see how Hodor came to be.

The twist in the ad is that Nairn eventually confuses ‘fries’ with ‘rice,’ and just like that, KFC’s newest lunch special, the Ricebox is born.

Since his demise on “Game of Thrones”, Nairn hasn’t shied away from the spotlight. The actor has been teasing fans about the possibility of his character returning and teaming up with celebrity fans of the show to pay homage to Hodor.

“Game of Thrones” returns to HBO July 16th at 9 p.m. ET.
