It’s time to put the GTL (gym, tan and laundry) back into your life.
The cast of MTV’s hit reality show “Jersey Shore” are coming back for a reunion series, “The Reunion Road Trip”, currently in development at E!, says The Hollywood Reporter.
“The Reunion Road Trip” will feature the cast getting back together for a literal drive down memory lane, visiting old location, sharing stories and doing some much-needed catching up. There will be gossip, comments about their press coverage, and the stories behind some juicy events we never got to see.
Rumours about a reunion series started taking off when the “Jersey Shore” cast were spotted filming at Point Pleasant Beach and Asbury Park this past month.
According to Toby Wolf, the director of Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, the original cast members of the show were spotted back there having dinner and playing games. According to Asbury Park Press, the show’s production company applied for permits to film at the boardwalk.
Deena Nicole shared a picture of the girls, including Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Jenni “JWoww” Farley having dinner at STK Steakhouse at the end of June.
In June, Polizzi revealed to E! News that she would be open to a very limited “Jersey Shore” revival. “Yes, but not for a long time because I have kids. Like for a week.”
The show aired for six seasons on MTV and included memorable brawls, tears, and Jersey-sized laughs. The cast have reunited a few times recently and, of course, shared it for fans on social media:
We’re ready to go back to the shore.
