On Friday, JAY-Z released the music video for the title track from his album “4:44”.
The eight-minute music video is a combination of vintage clips, performance pieces, interviews and more.
The lengthy video is a montage of clips featuring a Jean-Michel Basquiat interview, a Beyonce performance, an Eartha Kitt interview and some personal home footage.
The video opens with footage of a young man covering Nina Simone’s classic song “Feeling Good”, which is followed by a clip from the Eartha Kitt documentary “All by Myself: The Eartha Kitt Story”.
In the clip of Kitt, she discusses love, life and what it all means. The video also features a performance of Beyonce and JAY-Z performing “Drunk In Love” together.
The video compliments the theme of the song which addresses JAY-Z and Beyonce’s relationship. It ends with Blue Ivy in a never before seen clip. Fans can watch the full video on Tidal.
