For some poor soul at the Associated Press, it’s just one of those days where you don’t wanna wake up, etc.

In one of the stranger stories you’ll hear today, the AP has issued a correction for confusing The Jinx focal point Robert Durst with onetime nü-metal godhead Fred Durst.

“Trooper Melissa Matey told the Associated Press that an arrest warrant was issued for the former Limp Bizkit frontman and he was rebooked in the Orleans Parish Jail on Monday under two new charges,”; read the AP’s story on accused murderer Robert Durst. The bizarre case of mistaken identity was picked up by Jim Romenesko’s blog.

A correction would later be issued by the AP.

“In the second item of the California 10th NewsMinute sent March 16 to users of the state broadcast wire, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Robert Durst is a member of a band,”; clarified the AP. “He is a real estate heir; Fred Durst is the former frontman of Limp Bizkit.”;

No word yet on if there will be an additional correction acknowledging that Fred Durst is still employed as the frontman for Limp Bizkit.
