Drake may be a global superstar, but you don’t stay rich without counting every dollar.

It turns out that Drake cashes even the smallest cheques, like the royalty payment from his time on “Degrassi: The Next Generation” he posted on Instagram Monday morning.

On the one hand, it’s nice to know Drake still gets paid for his old work, but on the other, you might have expected 145 appearances on a TV show to be worth a little more than that.

Drake’s fans certainly know the feeling, laughing right along with him on Twitter.

Still, you have to imagine the Canadian actor-turned-rapper is doing just fine. Billboard says that Drake was the fourth-highest-paid musician in 2016, bringing in over $37 million from streaming, record sales, and touring.

Plus, Drake is living large compared to “The Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik, who posted a photo of her own tiny royalty cheque for a single appearance on the ’90s Neil Patrick Harris series “Doogie Howser, M.D.”.

That’s right, a check for 1 cent. Every penny really does count.

Thankfully Bialik is making a bit more than that from “The Big Bang Theory”. Variety reported in March that the leads of the show took small pay cuts so that Bialik and co-star Melissa Rauch could have their salaries increased to roughly $450,000 per episode, or over $21,000,000 for their two-year deals.
