Thanks to Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent and its numerous offshoots throughout the world, we know there’s talent all over the place.
But viewers in Belgium witnessed a whole new type of talent on Belgium’s Got Talent this week when a canine contestant took to the stage to perform an unforgettable rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.”;
The dog — named Lady Xena — howled her way through the iconic song, bringing the judges to tears (albeit tears of laughter) when hitting the high notes in the song’s crescendo.
Lady Xena has become a sensation in her home country, and worldwide fame could be around the corner now that video of her performance is gong viral.
As the dog’s owner, Mick Depreytere, explains, Lady Xena has always had a special connection to the song. “When Xena heard the sound of the song, she began to cry,”; he revealed on the show. “It was really weird.”;
