Halle Berry can seriously hold down her liquor.
At the San Diego Comic-Con panel for “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”, Halle Berry took the party vibe to another level, drinking an entire half-pint glass of whiskey.
Things had already gotten rowdy, EW reported, when moderator Jonathan Ross began pouring whiskey for each of the actors, including Channing Tatum, Taron Egerton, Pedro Pascal and Jeff Bridges. But it was Berry who got the lion’s share when Tatum decided to pour her glass full of the specialty bourbon released especially for the film, Statesman Reserve.
Berry hesitated to drink it all at first, but when asked whether “Kingsman” was more British than James Bond, she decided to throw back the bourbon rather than answer. She drank it all to the sound of the audience chanting, “Chug! Chug! Chug!”
Berry plays Statesman agent Ginger Ale in the new sequel to “Kingsman: The Secret Service”. Julian Moore plays Poppy, the film’s villain, who forces the Kingman to team up with their American counterparts in order to save the world.
When asked what it takes to be a good Statesman, Tatum answered, “Gotta be able to drink and fight…yeah…that’s about it.”
