Ryan Reynolds finally confirmed the name of his and wife Blake Lively’s daughter during a Today show appearance – James Reynolds!
“It is Butternut Summersquash,”; the 38-year-old actor joked. “No, it’s out there! It’s out there. It’s James. Everyone knows and I told everyone who would listen that.”;
“Before it was out there I didn’t want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, “Why did you do that?'”; Ryan continued.

So far couple aren’t telling, and Ryan jokes the reason is that he fears what the infant will do when she grows up and finds out that he blabbed her name to the entire world.
“That little girl will grow up to be a teenager who will find out that I blurted her name out on national television and probably make me pay for it,”; Ryan joked in an interview with the Associated Press. “She will exact her revenge in searing, psychic pain.”;
The name of the couple’s daugther, born just before the new year, remains a mystery that even David Letterman couldn’t pry out of him. “We definitely [have a name],”; Ryan told the late-night host during an early February appearance on The Late Show. “I threw out the idea of just never naming the kid to be totally original, but we have a name. I just don’t want to say it in, like, a media context. I tell everyone who I meet, so it’ll come out.”;
