Netflix stomped into Comic-Con last weekend and dominated with new footage of “The Defenders” and the second season of “Stranger Things”.
Stars Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo were on hand to talk about their Emmy domination.
“I was just super happy,” Finn says with Gaten and Caleb adding that the guys never really “got to celebrate.”
“It was crazy because I was just like ‘at least if we get an Emmy nomination, that’s fine, if we don’t, that’s fine, we know that we made something cool’,” Finn told YTV’s Carlos Bustamante, adding, “and then 19 emmy nominations came out and I was like ‘19’ I didn’t expect that at all.”
And the show’s success isn’t lost on its young stars.
Wolfhard thinks it’s “super cool,” adding “having people all over the world who support you and love your work is super cool”.
Now, something else that would be super cool – Caleb McLaughlin as Spider-Man’s younger, biracial protege Miles Morales.
McLaughlin shared a side-by-side on his Instagram suggesting he’s ready to make the leap to Marvel and shared his thoughts on the speculation.
“That would be really cool,” McLaughlin shared, adding “it would be a blessing to do that, I’m pretty fit,” before his co-star Gaten Matarazzo could chime in with an enthusiastic “if he were to play Miles Morales, I would be his biggest fan. I would have posters of Caleb in my room.”
Comic-Con also brought its own #JusticeForBarb, with a surprise appearance from star Shannon Purser, who had this to share about the success of the show.
