Superman does not have a moustache.
Henry Cavill’s facial hair is causing some problems for “Justice League” reshoots. The actor is currently sporting a ‘stache for his upcoming role in “Mission: Impossible 6” but everyone knows Clark Kent prefers the clean-shaven look.
Since Cavill can’t shave, Warner Bros. must digitally removed his moustache from his upper lip in post-production, since Paramount —,the studio behind the “Mission: Impossible” movies — won’t allow him to change his facial hair while the film is in production.
The actor had expected to be done with Superman’s spandex tights by the time he began shooting the Tom Cruise action movie. According to Variety, extensive two-month reshoots in London and Los Angeles on “Justice League” have soared to a reported $25 million, more than double the typical $6 to $10 million it typically costs.
Because of the massive cast — which includes Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa — the production has had a difficult time juggling the schedules of so many in-demand actors, which has proven to be an added headache for the film.
Cavill hilariously addressed the moustache controversy in an Instagram post on Wednesday. The actor shared a photo from the set of “Mission: Impossible 6” and had a lengthy comeback to all the rumours.
“There has been no discussion over whether to shave or not to shave for the [Justice League] reshoots, simply a relentless campaign to put an end to the seemingly inexorable conquest of this despotic ‘stache. It is not a question of if I should shave — it is a question of how we can possibly be victorious against such a beast without bringing our own doom raining down upon us,” he wrote.
Dear followers, it is time to finally set the record straight in this moustache fiasco. Pictured above, is not a set on MI6 but is in fact the latest in a series of weapons being designed by Warner Bros and Paramount Studios to combat the entity known as "Henry Cavill's Moustache".
