Evie Clair’s Emotional Cover Of ‘I Try’ On ‘America’s Got Talent’ Will Make You Cry

On Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent”, contestant Evie Clair brought the house down and to tears with one of the night’s most emotional performances.

Clair, 13, performed her own version of Macy Gray’s “I Try” and she wowed the judges, including guest judge DJ Khaled, giving a performance beyond her years.

“You are amazing. You’re beautiful. You touch everyone’s soul and spirit. Your family is going to be very proud of you,” DJ Khaled praised the contestant.

The singer stole the hearts of viewers when she first appeared on “AGT”. She auditioned with a cover of Christina Perri’s song “Arms” which meant a lot to her.

Clair’s dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2016 and was told by doctors that he had a 5% chance of living and the song is what she sings to him at home.
