Christmas is coming early, courtesy of Mariah Carey.
The “All I Want For Christmas” singer surprises fans with a teaser for the new computer-animated Christian comedy film “The Star”. Carey is not credited for voicing any characters in the movie, but her new single, also titled “The Star”, will be featured in the flick.
“I’m Mariah Carey and I’m so excited to share the trailer for the new movie ‘The Star’, in theatres this holiday season,” the stunning singer explains at the top of the video.
The leading man of “The Star” is actually a donkey named Bo, voiced by beloved “The Walking Dead” star Steven Yeun. He and his motley crew of animals find themselves presented with the opportunity to become the unsung heroes of the very first Christmas.
The actors voicing the animals are as unique and varied as the characters themselves. A who’s who of Hollywood names have been assembled for this audio-visual sleigh ride, including Gina Rodriguez (playing Mary), Tracy Morgan, Kelly Clarkson, Keegan-Michael Key and Oprah Winfrey!
“The Star” carols its way into theatres on November 10.
