UPDATE (Tuesday, Mar. 24, 3:44 p.m.): TMZ has obtained the dramatic 911 call that David Crosby made after accidentally hitting a pedestrian with his car.

The Crosby, Stills & Nash rocker sounds a little scattered and panicky, insisting, “We need an ambulance right now.”;

Crosby was uninjured in the accident, although the jogger sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating.

A California man was injured early Sunday after he was struck by a car driven by musician David Crosby.

Jose Jimenez, 46, was jogging in Santa Barbara County when the accident took place. A California Highway Patrol collision report says Crosby’s vehicle — travelling at the posted speed limit — made contact with Jiminez, who was running on the wrong side of the road. Crosby immediately stopped after the accident, remained at the scene, and was said to have fully cooperated with investigators.

Jimenez was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for multiple fractures, abrasions and lacerations.

“David Crosby is obviously very upset that he accidentally hit anyone,”; a rep for the singer confirmed on Monday. “And, based off of initial reports, he is relieved that the injuries to the gentleman were not life threatening. He wishes the jogger a very speedy recovery.”;
