Meg Ryan And John Mellencamp Back Together, Says Source: ‘They Have A Bond’

After splitting up nearly three years ago, rocker John Mellencamp, 65, and “Sleepless in Seattle” star Meg Ryan, 55, are reportedly back together, with the New York Post‘s “Page Six” column citing a source who claims the pair have rekindled their romance.

“They are together,” said the source. “It’s been a few months.”

According to reports, Ryan has been spotted at a recent Mellencamp concert. “Meg was at his recent Forest Hills Stadium concert, dancing on the side of the stage,” a “spy” told “Page Six”.

Mellencamp and Ryan split up back in 2014 after being together for three years, with Mellencamp subsequently dating supermodel Christie Brinkley (they split up last year, citing “mileage between their homes” as the main reason for the breakup).

During an interview with Howard Stern earlier this year, Mellencamp opened up about why things ended with Ryan. “Oh, women hate me,” Mellencamp told Stern. “I loved Meg Ryan. She hates me to death.”

The “Paper in Fire” singer added: “I think it’s because I’m a child. I throw fits, I gripe, I complain. I’m moody. Every bad thing that a fella can be, that’s me.”

When Stern suggested that Mellencamp try to patch things up with his ex, he admitted that he’d already tried. “I’ve done that. She just doesn’t want anything to do with me,” said Mellencamp. “And I can’t blame her.”

However, a source tells People that the pair are officially back on. “They have a bond,” says the source.
