50 Cent isn’t very happy with Starz.
On Monday, the rapper posted a revealing Instagram that threatened to remove his hit show “Power” from the network Starz.
The actor and executive producer on the show wrote a revealing caption for the post and shared that he’s not pleased with how the network has been treating one of its highest-rated series currently in its fourth season.
“I woke up feeling a little different about ‘POWER’ this morning. If the biggest show on your net work doesn’t mean anything, what does your network mean STARZ? I’m taking my talents to south beach f**k this,” he captioned the picture.
It seems that Sunday’s episode might have ticked him off. The episode featured several major deaths of some important characters, Jukebox played by Anika Noni Rose and Julio played by J.R. Ramirez. Instead of turning it into a two-part episode to help draw out the story, showrunner Courtney Kemp Agboh revealed it was kept to just one.
“We were going to do two separate episodes: One was going to be Ghost, Kanan, Tariq, Jukebox, and the kidnapping; and one was going to be just Tommy on his journey to Chicago and what happens there,” she told Entertainment Weekly.
Unfortunately, Starz didn’t agree to extend the episode order for this season, so they crammed it all into one episode. “Because they would not do it, we had to make it one episode…The upshot was that we had to lose some story lines and some story,” she explained.
