As summer begins to wind down, it means award season is (slowly) starting to gear up.
With film festivals like TIFF just around the corner, more and more of the year’s highly anticipated Oscar-hopefuls are on their way.
One of 2017’s eagerly awaited releases is “Call Me By Your Name” starring Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamat. The movie, based on the book by the same name from author André Aciman, follows a summer bond between the two men in Italy.
In the film, Chalamat plays Elio, a young man who is befriended by the family’s house guest Oliver, played by Hammer.
Over the course of the summer, the two men who are at different stages in their lives, share an intimate and complex friendship. Over time, the friendship slowly turns into a complicated love-affair that awakens both of them.
“Call Me By Your Name” will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this September and is set for release later this year on November 24.
