Joe Nichols Reworks Sir Mix-A-Lot’s ‘Baby Got Back’ As A Country Song

Ever wondered what Sir Mix-a-Lot’s timeless classic “Baby Got Back” would sound like as a country song? Well, Joe Nichols has remade the song and given it a country twist.

Nichols recorded his own version of the 1992 hit, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, for his upcoming album “Never Gets Old”.

On his version, Nichols gives the song a very country vibe. It’s about as classic of a country tune as it can be and, amazingly, it works.

Although it should be noted, his version doesn’t have an anaconda reference and excludes some other memorable lines from the original.

It’s clear the song has been a favourite of his for a while. Nichols has been performing the song at concerts for years and now it has finally made it onto an album of his.

The cherry on top is that Sir Mix-a-Lot even makes an appearance in the music video as a judge. He gets final approval of different variations of his song and wholeheartedly approves of Nichols’.
