Miley Cyrus is not the biggest fan of her 2008-2013 run.
The bubbly singer has a relaxed conversation with Cosmopolitan for their September 2017 issue. Reflecting on her favourite and least favourite red carpet looks, Cyrus says, “2015 VMAs! Versace!” was her absolute favourite outfit. On the flipside, however, “My least favourite look: Pretty much 2008-2013. The Grammys were rough and tough for me. Yoikes!”
The “Malibu” singer also talks about her favourite thing about her godmother, Dolly Parton. “Having access to her closet!” Cyrus teases. “Seriously, watching the way she treats people with love and respect. Always a reminder to me and my family of what is important. Never let success change your heart.”
And Cyrus has plenty more to say about family. The 24-year-old says the most important thing she learned about marriage from her parents is “nothing and no one stays the same. Grow, evolve, change with each other and celebrate your love’s journey!”
Cyrus also reflects on a dream she had about her sister Noah. “I wrote a song on my record in a dream,” she explains. “I dreamt my sis Noah and I were in my car on the way to the movie, a song came on the radio and it was Noah’s favourite song!”
And the coolest thing happened! “She said everyone was loving it… it’s a ‘smash’ then I said ‘I wish I wrote it’… I woke up… and did!”
“The Voice” judge also singles out the one artist she would want as her coach on the reality music show: “I’d pick Alicia Keys as my coach because she’s always made me feel super loved and special. I loved spending time in my big red chair next to my sis!”
Cyrus’ upcoming sixth studio album is expected to drop in October.
