Macklemore’s new music for “Marmalade” is all about the youngsters, as a miniature version of both the rapper and Lil Yachty throw a pool party while Macklemore sleeps.
The goofy video starts off with the “Thrift Store” singer’s little doppelganger brewing himself a coffee, sneaking the keys from the adult Macklemore’s pocket and heading out for a joy ride.
“Marmalade” is the second single from Macklemore’s upcoming album, following “Glorious” which dropped in June.
The 34-year-old gave a shout out to the kids of “Marmalade” on Instagram. “Shout out to the stars of the ‘Marmalade music video. You guys shine!” he wrote. “Brought their A game the entire time. Much love.”
Although the rapper has yet to release the title for the impending album, it will be his first solo record since 2005’s “The Language of My World”.
His more recent releases, 2012’s “The Heist” and 2016’s “This Unruly Mess I’ve Made” were both collaborations with Ryan Lewis.
