Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are heading to Africa on a romantic vacation to celebrate her 36th birthday, and royal rumours suggest that Harry may be ready to pop the question.
According to a report in The Sun, the pair were spotted on the tarmac before boarding a private jet bound for Africa, where they’ll be enjoying a romantic safari holiday.
Rumours of a proposal began immediately, as it was during a safari vacation in Kenya back in 2010 that Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton.
A “royal source” told The Sun: “Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time. He’s made the trip incredibly romantic. They’ll go on boats across the lake, walk in the bush at dawn and camp under the stars.”
Will Harry follow in his big brother’s footsteps? “Who knows what will happen when they’re watching a sensational African sunset together?” adds the source. “Maybe he’ll get down on one knee. Harry regards Africa as his spiritual home and has often talked of how he can get away from it all there.”
As the source points out, conservation efforts are important to both princes, and Africa is a place that holds a special place in the brothers’ hearts.
“Obviously he wants to show Meghan what an amazing place it is and create new memories together,” the source notes. “Harry’s done a lot of conservation work in Africa with endangered elephants and black rhinos and he’ll show them to the woman he wants to marry.”
