Yo-Yo Ma’s Plea Helps Reunite Lost Puppy With Owner

After making an impassioned plea to his 14,000 concertgoers on Sunday, Yo-Yo Ma has helped reunite a lost puppy with his owner.

One of the musician’s greatest mentors, conductor David Zinman, was worried that his puppy had been run over by a car, prompting the cellist to put his Massachusetts matinee concert attendees on high alert.

The lost dog — a four-month-old Cuban Havanese pup named Carlito — had vanished Sunday morning.

19-year-old Lenox, Massachusetts resident Grace Ellrodt, and her 21-year-old boyfriend, Lachlan Tobiason, who spotted the lost canine over the weekend, did not attend the concert that afternoon but heard the tragic news through concertgoers and family members.
