Kendrick Lamar has confirmed that he and longtime girlfriend Whitney Alford are engaged.
The rapper confirmed that Whitney is officially his fiancee during a visit to Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club,” where he was questioned about rumours the couple had become engaged.
“Yeah definitely,” said Kendrick. “I’m loyal to the soil.”
“At the end of the day you want to always have real people around you, period — whether male or female,” he added. “Everybody that’s been around me has been around since day one and I can’t change that. I don’t change for nobody. I can’t run from it. So I always show respect, when respect is given. People that have been by your side, you’re supposed to honour that.”
The couple have been dating for years, but have shied away from the spotlight. No word on a wedding date yet.
