The 64th Annual Primetime Emmys are on Sunday and we have a look at the Canadian stars to look out for on the big night.
Up for two of the Awards this year was Canada’s own, Michael J. Fox, who was a contender in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Curb Your Enthusiasm as Himself and in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama for his role as Louis Canning in The Good Wife. Despite losing in both categories when the trophies were handed out at the 2012 Creative Arts Emmys on September 15, we’ll definitely see the actor – who rose to fame on ’80s TV series Family Ties as the very opinionated Republican Alex P. Keaton – take the stage as a presenter.
Competing against Michael in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category during the Creative Arts Emmys was Toronto-born actor, Will Arnett, for his role as Devon Banks in 30 Rock – the Canucks lost out to Jimmy Fallon for his hosting gig on Saturday Night Live. Since his recent split from 2012 Primetime Emmy nominee Amy Poehler, we’re not sure if we’ll see Will on Sunday, but we’ll keep our eyes open because you never know!
And while he’s not up for an Award himself this year, Emmy-winner Kiefer Sutherland has been announced as a presenter at the show to be hosted by funnyman Jimmy Kimmel.
Also handing out one of the prestigious Awards on Sunday night will be Ottawa-raised actor Matthew Perry, who stars in the new Global series, Go On. And 26-year-old Revenge star, Emily VanCamp, who hails from Port Perry, Ontario will also be an Emmys presenter.
