Ray Romano took advantage of some free advertising on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to find his son a date, but it was James Corden who really came through.
Romano’s son Matt, who happens to work for Kimmel, was embarrassed right off the bat when his dad called out his work attire, “I guess that answers the question, ‘Is there a dress code when you work for Jimmy Kimmel?'”
And the embarrassment didn’t end there, as the topic quickly changed from Matt’s outfit to his love life.
“My wife wants grandchildren, so he needs to pick up the pace there,” the “Everybody Love Raymond” star quipped.
Once Romano was able to pull his son on screen he listed off some of his 24-year-old’s best qualities, “Show ’em your teeth. I paid money for braces,” he said. “Ladies, he’s a good kid, good listener. He keeps his room clean. He’s had all of his shots… You still have a car. Jimmy Kimmel is his uncle.”

As if any girl would need another reason to call the number put up on the screen, the 59-year-old dad gave another incentive, “He has an identical twin, so God forbid should anything happen to him…”
But the embarrassment wasn’t over for the Romano kids. It turns out Romano’s other twin son, Greg works for James Corden on “The Late Late Show”. When Romano appeared on the show Thursday night Corden took the opportunity to actually find someone to find a date for Greg.
Corden set up a game, bringing out three single women from the audience and had Romano and Julia Louis Dreyfus ask them questions.
“I have a question for all three of you,” Ray said to start. “Are you OK dating a virgin?”
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I’m kidding! I’m kidding!” he quickly said, laughing. ” I don’t know. I have no idea. I have no idea.”
In the end Dreyfus picked the winning lady, and she and Greg went backstage to have dinner, with cameras set up to watch the whole thing.
“What kind of date is this?” Romano joked, watching dull conversation.
