Damien Chazelle had a scathing series of tweets for U.S. President Donald Trump.
The “La La Land” director joined Twitter on Wednesday with the sole intention of putting Trump on blast. “Decided to join Twitter because I feel a responsibility to add my voice to the chorus,” the Oscar-winning director tweeted.
Chazelle, 32, was angered by Trump’s speech on Tuesday in regards to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. The U.S. president blamed “both sides” over the incident and now Chazelle is accusing Trump of “endorsing Nazism and white supremacy.”
“We’re living a historic moment,” Chazelle continued. “Things don’t often come this clear-cut. Anyone in a position of power who stays silent is complicit. I hold out hope. That the GOP will come to its senses and call for impeachment.”
