Michael Douglas’ Son Is Going To Be A Father

Cameron Douglas, son of Michael Douglas, is about to be a father.

People reports that the 38-year-old is expecting a child with his girlfriend Viviane Thibes.

“Everyone is thrilled for him,” says People‘s source, adding, “Michael is looking forward to being a grandfather.”

Douglas and Thibes, a 39-year-old Brazilian yoga instructor and actress, were first seen together in August last year.

The couple met not long after Douglas was released from prison, after serving a five-year sentence on drug charges, and a further two-year sentence for dealing in prison.

In 2013, Douglas wrote candidly from jail about his struggles with addiction, saying, “I made mistakes and I’ll gladly and openly admit my faults.”

Cameron and Michael were seen together having lunch in New York in July. The two were in town to see Michael’s father, the legendary 101-year-old Kirk Douglas, after Cameron received permission to travel while on probation.

The baby will be 72-year-old Michael’s first grandchild.
