Few people in this world appear more serious than Karl Lagerfeld. Which might lead you to assume the legendary designer would have zero interest taking part in a goofball comedy.
And guess what? You’d be totally right.
During his visit to Canada this week (his first ever!), Karl shot down the idea of appearing in the upcoming Zoolander sequel. And he was pretty forceful about it. “They wanted me to be in the movie!” he told Hello! Magazine, pretty much without being asked. “I don’t want to be in the movie!”
He added, “I’m not an actor.”;
So why does the 81-year-old have such a hate-on for the upcoming project? Well, besides the “I’m not an actor”; thing, it seems he wasn’t exactly a fan of the Zoolander stunt that recently took place at Paris Fashion Week. You know, the one where Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson crashed the Valentino catwalk as their male model alter egos.
Karl’s review? “I didn’t like it.”;
Well, that settles that. Maybe he’ll consider a role in the upcoming Jump Street sequel?
