British metalcore band Architects put a stop to their Friday-night show in Amsterdam after frontman Sam Carter witnessed a young woman being groped by a male concertgoer while she crowd-surfed near the front of the stage.
As BBC News reports, Carter signalled the band to stop playing and addressed the audience after witnessing a man grab the woman’s breast during their gig at The Netherlands’ Lowland Festival.
“I saw a girl, a woman, crowd-surfing over here. I’m not going to point out who but I saw you grab at her boob,” Carter told the crowd. “It’s disgusting and there is no place for that.”

Carter continued to address the audience. “So, I’ve been going over in my f**king mind whether I should say something about what I saw in that last song,” he said. “And, do you know what, I am going to say it: It’s not your body and you do not grab at someone, not at my show. So if you feel like doing that again walk out and don’t come back.”
A concertgoer who attended the show shared footage of Carter’s onstage rant on social media.
Meanwhile, the band’s fans took to Twitter to share their support for Carter taking action by calling out the groper, applauding him in tweets such as these:
