Don Cherry is branching out!
One of Canada’s most famous hockey personalities lent his vocal talents to Wrigley Field for the seventh-inning stretch singing of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”.

Cherry, 83, even added his own twist to the classic tune. When it came time to root for the home team, the colourful commentary instead sang “the best team.” His remix should come as no surprise considering the Chicago Cubs were squaring off against Canada’s very own Toronto Blue Jays.
This is not the first time an NHLer has crossed over to Wrigley Field, although the wacky suit-wearing Cherry is likely the most vibrant. Chicago Blackhawks teammates Jonathan Toews, Brent Seabrook, and Duncan Keith have also serenaded Cubs fans in the past.
