Headlining the series is Angelina Jolie, whose new film “First They Killed My Father” will play the festival.

Also included in the series is Javier Bardem, whose films “Loving Pablo!” and “mother!” will be at TIFF. Helen Mirren, starring in “The Leisure Seeker” will also speak, and Gael Garcia Bernal, who stars in “If You Saw His Heart”, rounds out the roster.

The full TIFF 2017 lineup includes 339 features and short films from 74 countries, including 28 Canadian feature films.

On top of all the movies, TIFF will once again be taking over King St. W. for opening weekend from Sept. 7-10, with live musical performances, VR exhibitions, and a rap battle between Toronto artist Kid Twist and battle rapper Madness.
