Trailer Drops For Tragically Hip Documentary ‘Long Time Running’

It’s been a “long time running” but the Tragically Hip documentary, directed by Jennifer Baichwal and Nick de Pencier, has finally released a trailer.

Making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this September, the doc gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the epic and emotional 2016 tour of one of Canada’s most iconic bands.

“I would have loved to say thank you, face to face to face, to everybody somehow,” lead singer Gord Downie says in the trailer while the band share their memories of how the tour came to be despite Downie’s terminal brain cancer diagnosis.

Complete with intimate moments, behind-the-scenes and on-stage footage, personal interviews with the band and close friends, as well as reactions from their devoted fans from across the country, “Long Time Running” is sure to be an emotional film for fans when it hits theatres in Canada Sept. 14.
