“Are You Afraid Of The Dark”; gave a huge boost to Canadian stars from 1990 to 2000 – Elisha Cuthbert, Ross Hull, Daniel DeSanto, Ryan Gosling, Rachel Blanchard, Jay Baruchel, Sarah Gadon, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Hayden Christensen, Laura Vandervoort…the list goes on and on. Every big actor wanted to be on this show! And as Elisha told us during our reunion, “If you were an actor during that time period and you weren’t on the show, you weren’t working. It was a huge thing to get. And then to be one of the lucky ones to be around the campfire, which got you on every single episode, was such a huge honour at that time. I remember thinking, I’ve made it.”;
Sitting around the “ET Canada Campfire”; the Midnight Society pals couldn’t believe it had been so long since they last toasted a few marshmallows together.
“I haven’t seen Elisha in about 15 years,”; founding member Ross Hall revealed. “I haven’t seen Dan in about 5 or 6. We do still hang out sometimes, but it feels like yesterday in a sense. The three of us being around each other it felt like we were back on the set and working again.”;
As for the possibility of the trio reuniting the entire cast for an adult version of “Are You Afraid Of The Dark’… don’t hold your breath. Hall recently debuted a documentary based on the popular show, and Daniel DeSanto did reminisce, “Just being here, just seeing the campfire…”; Elisha agreed: “It’s bringing me back. It’s reminding me of the crew and the people that were involved.”;
