Henry Cavill is getting candid in an Instagram post about girlfriend Lucy Cork.
The “Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice” actor dedicated a heartfelt and motivating message to Cork, a 25-year-old stunt woman he met on the set of “Mission: Impossible 6” in New Zealand. Cork is the stunt double for Cavill’s co-star, Rebecca Ferguson.
“We’ve all been hurt, we’ve all got it wrong, trusted the wrong person, made the wrong bet, turned the wrong way, made THAT mistake. What we’ve experienced is important, it defines us. But what is more important, and often forgotten, is that we decide how it defines us,” he writes in the touching post. His lengthy message was posted along with a video of her working on some fight moves in the gym.
He continues, writing, “I’ve made mistakes, I’ve been someone I’m not proud of plenty of times. I’ve fallen down. I’ve loved the wrong person. I’ve failed. I’ve been hurt. I’ve hurt. That’s life! In life we are going to get it wrong… a lot. What I’ve tried to do and still try to do each time though is recognize those mistakes and mold them to my advantage. Make them a way to better myself.”
Dedicating his words to Cork, he describes her as what “positive forward motion, determination, bravery, strong will, dedication and self-respect looks like.”
The couple only recently went public with their relationship, attending the Wimbledon Men’s Final together in July.
In his Instagram post, Cavill refers to her as “My Lucy” and calls her “one of the best stunt women in the world.”
