The 21st-century way of dating is weird.

David Foster, 67, posted a picture on Instagram with his daughter Erin Foster, 35, wishing her a happy birthday. “One of the loves of my life and my fav daughter on this day!!!” he captioned the adorable father-daughter picture.

Well, John Mayer, 39, took to the comment section of the photo to ask the music producer a favour.

Instagram users got a rise out of Mayer’s comment, volunteering their own dating advice for the singer. “Hahaha Just slide in her DMs, don’t make a fool of yourself out here LOL,” one user commented.

Erin, a comedy writer and reality TV star who appeared on the VH1 show “Barely Famous” with her sister Sara Foster, appears to be single. Neither Foster has replied to Mayer’s comment yet, so who knows where this will go.
