The collaboration between the shoe giant and the Canadian singer, dubbed the Puma Parallel, dropped on Thursday. Drawing inspiration from military boots and classic basketball shoes, the new kicks retail at $260. Today’s launch is the first of three planned releases, each which will draw from a streetwear look favoured by the “I Feel It Coming” singer.
In a recent interview with Footwear News, The Weeknd said he was excited for people to get their hands on his shoes.

“I was nervous at first, but when I finally got to hold the product, I immediately fell in love. I think people will like it,” he said. “To be honest, I just want to see everyone wearing it. I want it to be part of pop culture. I want to walk down the street and see kids wearing it and women wearing it. I want to see the Pope wearing it. I want to see [Barack] Obama wearing it. I want to see Elon Musk wearing it.”
The Puma Parallel collection will feature more than just shoes. Bomber jackets, kimonos and boots in camouflage, suede and denim.
Fans were feeling the new shoes which quickly went out of stock at several online retailers despite the hefty price tag.
