Calvin Harris is contributing to getting our collective summertime groove on with the release of “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1”, and just released a new video for the single “Feels”.

An earlier video for “Feels”, set in a fantasyland forest, was released back in June, and now an entirely new video has been unveiled that puts a very different spin on the same track.

Featuring the collective talents of Harris, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean, this new video has a psychedelic feel as the gang jams out on a colourfully groovy stage (above).

Working with Harris, revealed Perry in a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, was an unexpected pleasure, considering the two had experienced “little falling outs here and there” — such as when the two publicly feuded after Harris cancelled his scheduled appearances on Perry’s 2011 tour at the last minute.

“We just bumped into each other and he said, ‘I think I have a song that maybe you should come check out,’” Perry told Seacrest. “I was like, ‘Cool,’ because we had always meant to work together for years and years and years.”

As Perry explained, enough water had flowed under the bridge to let bygones be bygones. “We’d had some public Twitter spats,” she admitted. “Eight years or so had passed. It was time to put all that behind us.”

She continued: “I came to the studio and he played me a bunch of unfinished but really solid moments for his new record. Then he played me this one part for this new song called ‘Feels’ and I was like, ‘Oh yeah.’ This is like my favourite song off the record. I was just down to do it.”
