Kermit the Frog has a new voice in actor Matt Vogel, and fans can finally hear what he sounds like.
In a new “Muppet Thought of the Week” video, Vogel makes his short debut as the famous frog, and he definitely sounds a lot like the Kermit we all know and love.
Vogel stepped into the role after the tumultuous exit of longtime Kermit voice-actor Steve Whitmire was fired and replaced earlier this summer.

It was announced in July the role had been recast, with Whitmire stepping away from the “Muppets” franchise after 27 years voicing Kermit. In an interview, the actor claimed he was fired being “outspoken.”
The Muppets Studio responded, explaining that concerns had been raised over Whitmire’s “repeated unacceptable business conduct over a period of many years.”
