Mel Gibson is ready to say goodbye to his dream vacation home.
The house, featured on TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, was discovered by the director when he was scouting locations for a movie (2006’s “Apocalypto”). Gibson is selling the Costa Rica home, settled on a sprawling 403-acre jungle estate, for US$29.75 million.
Over the years, Gibson has become a fan of buying multiple homes for himself. He owns and has owned property in California, Montana, Connecticut, Australia, and Fiji.
Three different homes are located on the property. Two of the homes, Casa Barrigona and Casa Dorada, have two bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, kitchens, verandas and come with their own swimming pools.
It doesn’t end there. Casa Barrigona comes with its own poolside cottage and Casa Dorada comes with a loft. The main home on the property, Casa Guanacaste, overlooks a beach and comes with seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a courtyard, pool, and surrounding views of the ocean and jungle.
