We all have some embarrassing moments from the past that we’d prefer remain unremembered, but Robert Pattinson has a doozy.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Thursday, the “Twilight” heartthrob revealed that when he first moved to Hollywood as a young actor, his roommate was none other than Dustin Diamond, a.k.a. Screech from “Saved By the Bell”.
“When I met you I was still living in the Oakwood apartments,” Pattinson told the host during a chat with On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
“I was with Screech, Dustin Diamond. I loved it. I really miss it,” Pattinson, 31, revealed, adding that Diamond opened his mind to a uniquely American food.
“Dustin was the first person to introduce me to Hot Pockets!” he told Seacrest, who explained that the Oakwood apartments provide temporary short-term housing that’s ideal for actors who hit L.A. in pursuit of stardom.
Meanwhile, Seacrest revealed his own “Saved By the Bell” connection from back in his salad days.
“When I first moved here, I lived in the apartments just down the street from the Oakwoods, and guess who lived across the street from me?” Seacrest asked Pattinson. “Mario Lopez! Slater! So, all of us start with the ‘Saved by the Bell’ cast and we try and grow from there.”
