After banning a little boy from taking part in its “Princess for a Day” event, Disneyland Paris has issued an apology after receiving public backlash.
The little boy in question is Noah, who is absolutely obsessed with the 2014 animated movie “Frozen”. The three-year-old loves Elsa so much that his mother, Hayley McLean-Glass, wanted to take him to the theme park for its princess-themed experience.

As the title of the event suggests, the day sees young girls transformed into their favourite Disney princesses. Unfortunately for Noah, the park sent an email back to his mother denying them the chance to attend.
After being barred from the event, Noah’s mom wrote an open letter and opposed the decision.
“If a little girl wants to be a super hero, she can be. If she wants to be a Jedi, she can be,” Glass wrote in the letter. “She can be whatever she wants…just like Walt Disney himself said, ‘If you can dream it you can do it!’…Unless you’re a little boy who wants a Princess experience at Disneyland apparently…that you CAN’T do!” she said.
In an interview with ITV News, Glass revealed how upset she was after receiving the email from Disneyland Paris. “I was so angry, I literally couldn’t stop shaking for half an hour afterwards—I was just so shocked. I mean, I’m his mother and if I’m okay with him doing it, who are Disney to tell me that he can’t do that?”

After the backlash, Disneyland Paris released a statement to ITV News, apologizing for denying Noah the experience.
“An isolated incident, the [employee’s] response is not reflective of any policy or belief held here at Disneyland Paris. We are going to ensure this does not happen again,” the statement reads. “Of course, both boys and girls are welcome to enjoy The Princess For a Day experience in addition to all our other special activities.”
