Chris Blintson, tattoo artist and star of Spike reality show “Ink Master”, was arrested Friday after allegations that he choked his 13-year-old daughter so hard she was left gasping for breath.
According to TMZ, Blintson was arrested in Florida in connection with the alleged incident, which reportedly took place on Tuesday.
According to the police report (obtained by TMZ), Blinston’s arrest occurred after his daughter told a therapist that her father choked her following an argument at his house during a custody visit. “She told the therapist her dad strangled her twice Tuesday and that triggered a police investigation,” reports TMZ.
In the police report, Blinston’s daughter claims that he “grabbed her around the neck and squeezed off her airway,” leaving her unable to breathe for about 10 seconds. When he finally released her, she told him: “You just choked me, after everything that’s gone on the past two days, you’re choking me!”
At this point, notes the police report, Blinston “grew furious” and once again grabbed her throat with both hands, cutting off her airway for approximately six to seven seconds while allegedly calling her such cruel names as “mental skank.” In addition, she also claims that he told her that if she told anybody about the incident, “there would be hell to pay.”
When interviewing Blinston’s daughter, officers saw marks on the teen’s neck that were consistent with strangulation, noting in the report that Blinston is 5-foot-11 and 220 pounds, while his daughter is 5-1, 110 pounds.
Blinston is being charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation and cruelty towards a child without great bodily harm, and was released from jail after posting a $6,000 bond.
According to TMZ, sources close to Blinston state that he denies all the allegations.
