Music fans should mark Sept. 7 down on their calendars ahead of Clarkson’s first single since 2015’s “Piece by Piece”. The 35-year-old teased the still-unnamed single on Twitter, with glimpses of what could possibly be a music video.

Clarkson is keeping plenty busy despite the recording layoff. The Grammy-winning singer is set to appear as a judge on “The Voice” in 2018. “I can’t wait to turn my chair and see the faces of up-and-coming artists and provide them with the help and support they’ve needed to break into the industry,” Clarkson said in a press release. “Watch out Shelton, I’m comin’ to win!”

One day after Clarkson’s new release, Sam Smith will also return with his first single since 2015’s “Writing’s on the Wall” for the James Bond movie “Spectre”.
