Chris Martin may not have had Coldplay by his side on BBC Radio One, but he did not come alone.

The rock band’s frontman performed a cover of Paul Simon’s “Graceland” on the radio station’s “Live Lounge” with help from a horn section and some talented backup vocalists. Martin, 40, was definitely feeling the tunes performing most of the song with his eyes closed and strumming away on his guitar.

The singer has been pulling lots of new tricks out of his bag as of late. Coldplay performed a once-only song onstage in Miami in honour of the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Coldplay’s A Head Full of Dreams Tour rolls through Edmonton on Sept. 26 and Sept. 27 with Tove Lo and Alina Baraz before rocking out in Vancouver on Sept. 29.
