P!nk stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show where she put herself in the hot seat with Reese Witherspoon in a game of “Never Have I Ever”.
Discussing giving strangers lap dances or debating what “doing it” means wasn’t the only topic that the singer touched upon; she opened up to Ellen about her most recent accolade: the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“My daughter was incredibly unimpressed by me,” P!nk told the talk show host. “She goes ‘Exactly how many minutes after you sing does my sleepover start?'”
She also spoke about the reason behind her controversial speech, telling Ellen the moment that inspired it.
“I was driving her to school and out of the blue she just said, ‘Mama …’I’m the ugliest girl I know.’ and I was like ‘What are you talking about? You’re incredible. I made you, you can’t say that!’
“I said, ‘Why do you think that? Did someone say that to you? What’s happening?’ And she’s like, ‘I just look like a boy with long hair.’ And so, I just didn’t say anything. I didn’t know what to say. And I went home, I cried, and I made this Word document,” she added, telling Ellen she’s “just trying to make her more resilient.”
