A particularly sad byproduct of the Internet is the rise of trolls who get a charge out of hating on celebrities, who are not as immune to these nasty barbs as we might imagine.
For an example, look no further than Sophia Bush, who issued a series of tweets on Wednesday to slam Twitter trolls. “Being alerted to groups of ‘fans’ ripping your life, choices and happiness apart in private chats feels like s**t, yall,” she writes. “Truly.”

In subsequent tweets — seven in all — she also laments “being enlessly [attacked] by trolls,” wondering, “You can’t please everyone?”
While Bush is certainly not shy about expressing her political opinions on social media, she’s demonstrated a tendency to fiercely guard her private life, and lashes out at those who would criticize her for that.
“You think I’m too private?” she asks. “That I owe you something? What does it need to be for kindness to be practice[d], and for something you don’t like to get ‘A Beautiful Mind’ level, INSANE plot and dissertation?”
To those who think they know her because they’s seen her act on such TV series as “Chicago P.D.” and “One Tree Hill”, Bush issues a cogent reminder that “you don’t know me. You don’t know anyone that you don’t know personally, in fact. Remember that we’re all human. And try to be better.”
In her final tweet, she takes aim at haters, revealing that she hears their negativity “literally EVERY GD second of EVERY GD day. So haters? You’re not even original. I’ve heard it all!
Bush’s Twitter tirade did not go unnoticed; her former “One Tree Hill” co-star Hilarie Burton liked what she had to say, and offered her full support. “PREACH Sis!!!” she writes. “You’re a GD diamond!”
