On Friday, all the U.S. networks joined forces to broadcast the “XQ Super School Live” TV special, a star-studded hour-long invitation for viewers to “help rethink the future of American high schools.”
Along with appearances by such celebrities as Justin Timberlake, U2, Chance the Rapper, Mahershala Ali, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Viola Davis, Samuel L. Jackson, J.J. Abrams, Kelly Clarkson and many more, two-time Oscar-winner Tom Hanks appeared in a special “Carpool Karaoke” segment with “Late Late Show” host James Corden, with Hanks driving a school bus full of kids.

“Big baby James and I have been blessed to live out our dreams everyday in this country that we love,” Hanks said from main stage after the segment had aired.
“These kids deserve that same chance,” added Corden. “Let’s rebuild high school so they can fully realize who they are and what they’re capable of.”
